The one and only Christopher Buongiorno took home the honor of “Best Music Video” at the Festivus Film Festival in Denver this weekend. We couldn’t be more stoked for our uber-talented drummer/resident filmmaker. Show him some love guys, and check out the video if you haven’t already!

Not long ago, out of what I’m sure is mostly vanity and partly morbid curiosity, I began tracking the tags “the victor ship” and “in somnis veritas” on my personal tumblr. Last night, I saw that something had posted under those tags, so I went to investigate. This lovely young lady had posted a list of her top musical discoveries of the year and, sure enough, there we were. I messaged her to say thanks, and the picture above is the bit of correspondence that followed.

It’s simple things like this that keep us going, that keep us creating. Things like this push us through the hardships and setbacks to keep doing what we do best. So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you guys for caring and for constantly and unwaveringly supporting us. We love you.

Plenty of news coming for all of you in 2012, so stay tuned.

Happy New Year from me (Matt) and the rest of The Victor Ship.
